VIVO DESK-V000V: the manual option
The 36-inch V-Series model is a practical starting point if you want to keep your current desk and do not need a motor. Pneumatic assistance supports manual lifting, and the keyboard tray is removable. The tradeoff is that you still operate the lift yourself.
Its 6.5-inch minimum upper-platform height deserves attention: the monitor remains raised even in the lowest position. Check your seated screen position before buying. The platform height is not the keyboard height, so compare both surfaces with your current setup.

VIVO DESK-V000VE: consider powered adjustment
The electric model offers a different way to raise the work surface. Its published base measures 31 × 26 inches, so check desk depth carefully; the upper platform’s dimensions alone do not tell you how much support it needs. You also need room to route the power cable.
Choose between these models based on adjustment preference and fit. A motor does not increase the stated 33 lb upper-platform capacity, and neither model’s tray capacity should be treated as extra allowance for monitors.
Five measurements to take before ordering
- Desk support and clearance. Measure usable width and depth, excluding cable holes, curved edges and anything already occupying the surface. Check the chosen model’s base drawing and placement instructions. The desk must support the converter itself plus all equipment.
- Lowest keyboard position. Measure where your keyboard sits now. A converter that starts too high can be awkward while seated, even if its standing height suits you. Include the keyboard’s thickness and check room for your mouse.
- Standing reach. Add your existing desktop height to the converter’s keyboard height at the setting you expect to use. Do not use the upper-platform range as a substitute for the tray’s position.
- Monitor footprint and load. Measure the feet of each monitor stand, not just the screen diagonals. Add monitors, stands, laptop and accessories to the relevant platform’s load. A wide screen does not automatically need an equally wide platform, but its support must fit correctly.
- Cable travel. Check display, power and USB cables at the highest position. Leave enough slack for movement without allowing cables to snag in the mechanism or pull against ports.

Can a 36-inch converter hold two monitors?
Possibly. The decision depends on the combined stand footprint, total load and usable viewing arrangement. “Dual-monitor ready” does not establish compatibility with your particular screens. For a monitor arm, also verify that the converter permits the mounting method and includes the arm’s weight in its load allowance.
Is a converter better than a complete standing desk?
